Hi, my name is Amanda, we live in Catton / Northumberland. I own a small cattery devoted to breeding and showing Siamese and the rare Egyptian Mau cats.

I have always loved cats and they have always been a part of my family from being a small child. For many years my husband, children and I lived in a remote farmhouse in Cumbria where many unwanted cats found a home. I also took in injured cats or females expecting litters that had been abandoned in near by woodland, I think their people thought the cats would look after themselves, but once winter set in they couldn't and quite quickly found their way in front of our cosy kitchen aga, then later rehomed to people who loved them. Owning and showing pedigree cats has always interested me and soon after we moved house to Northumberland the opportunity was just too much to resist.

I breed Chocolate and Seal Point Siamese, also the very rare and beautiful silver Egyptian Mau. All my cats live in doors and are apart of the family. I follow a strict breeding plan to enlarge my own line therefore my kittens are limited. I breed carefully and selectively for health, temperament, type and colour, all my kittens have wonderful personalities. I receive many cards, letters and photos from my kitten's new families showing how happy and confidently they settle in. I also like to encourage new people to show their cats so I am more than happy to help and support you if you would like to come along to a show. Amongst other things that makes being a breeder so worthwhile.

I am a member of the Northern Counties Cat Club so there's a page about our club and some photos, now that I no longer take in homeless cats I support the Cat Welfare and there's a page about their work and some art’s and crafts that I do to help raise funds for them. I have made a page in the form of a book, its called Cat Info' It may take a little time to download but its worth waiting for.

OITAMONSOON is my GCCF registered Prefix name. I comply with the GCCF Code of Ethics. I am a member of The Northern Counties Cat Club, The Havana & Oriental Cat club, The Chocolate Point Siamese Club, The Cumberland Cat Club, The Durham Cat Club, The Northern Siamese Cat Society and The Egyptian Mau Club.
